Previous seasons

Game 1

Despite playing a good first quarter and trailing by just 1 point after the first 8:00, the Thomson-Shore Dawgs were overmatched. ATF frustrated Thomson-Shore with solid man-to-man defense, at times double teaming their limitted offensive options. Height mismatches allowed Tim, Andy, Allen, and Ian to score easily on offense.

Game 2

The first quarter was slow and ugly, ending with an 8-8 tie. In the second quarter ATF solved Creative Solutions' zone defense and went on an offensive rampage while holding CS to just 3 points. CS switched to man-to-man in the second half but even that helped little. ATF was able to score consistantly and played strong defense. In the end every member of ATF had scored at least one basket.

Game 3

This game was close until the very end. ATF build a lead in the second quater and held between a 4 and 9 point lead from then on. ATF had some problems boxing out WLTDO in the first half, which lead to numerous WLTDO offensive rebounds. There were a lot of fouls called in this game. Both teams were in the bonus both halves.

Game 4

ATF played this game without two or their guards and without leading scorer, Tim (out for the season). ATF sprung out to an early lead behind an offensive burst by Ian and the game was tied at the end of the first quarter. Then things slipped away. ATF had a string of 6 straight turn-overs in the second quarter and never got back into the game. TBA/LaRoe beat ATF to many offensive rebounds and played a very physical game that degenerated to over-aggressive. One TBA/LaRoe player fouled out in the third quarter and another was ejected for a flagrant foul and threatening an ATF player. The refs had to stop the game for an extented period to try to regain controll of the game.

Game 5

ATF overcame being overmatched height-wise and trailing as much as 15 point to storm back and tie the game late in the 4th quarter, sending the game into overtime. ATF continued the offensive explosion by jumping out to a large early lead in overtime, from which Ya-Yas could not recover. Andy had a breakout game scoring a career high 25 points. Dave's return at point guard also provided much needed ball handling. This dramatic win put's ATF back into a 3 way tie for first place.

Game 6

Ayers, Lewis, Norris, and May were overmatched by ATF from the start, but they hung around and made a scoring run to tie the game at the end of the forth quarter. For the second week in a row ATF jumped out to an early lead in overtime and sealed the game. Ayers, Lewis will need to find a second scoring option and learn to rebound and box out better to improve.

Game 7

ATF trailed Black & Veatch nearly the entire game, but hung around. ATF was forced to foul a lot at the end of the game. B&V left the door open by missing all three free throws in the 1 and 1, and missing 3 of 4 in the double bonus, but ATF could not capitalize on this opportunity.

Game 8

ATF lacked offensive firepower and slowly fell behind. By the second half Ya-Ya's took a solid lead and ATF never threatened. With Tim gone for the year and Ian out with back problems ATF is going to have to find other consistant ways to score.

Game 9

ATF got off to a slow offensive start, but TBA/LaRoe had problems of their own, reaching the foul limit early in the first quarter. TBA/LaRoe was able to clean up their play and take a small lead into halftime. A good third quarter on the offensive boards helped TBA/LaRoe take control of the game. Even though fouls plagued TBA/LaRoe during both halfs this game was a large improvement over the last meeting between these two teams.

Game 10

ATF finished the season with a very solid performance by 5 of its core players. ATF played a strong game dispite not having any subs, and lead for most of the game. In the 4th quarter Black & Veatch hit several long range shots to go on an 11-0 run and take a 7 point lead, which would be the eventual margin of victory.
