Here are some quick summaries of our games.

Some reports and box scores are available from past seasons.
Game 1
Plagued by turnovers and shut down offensively by a large zone ATF had major problems scoring.
It was not until half way through the first quarter that Ian scored ATF's first points. The game
got quickly out of hand. Early in the fourth quarter Parke-Davis III stretched their lead to 40 points,
which forced the game to end early by a mercy. ATF must learn to take better care of the ball and find
ways to score against the zone.
Game 2
In a stunning reversal from game 1 ATF faced a zone defense and was able to score at will. Black & Veatch's
defense was confused at first, allowing easy backdoor points. ATF's defense was strong, keeping
Black & Veatch in single digits deep into the fourth quarter. A new substitution rotation kept
everyone fresh. This game marked the first time that every one of ATF's players scored in a single
game.
Game 3
A poorly played first half by ATF combined with strong zone defense and accurate shooting by ALN&M led
to a 20 point halftime deficit for ATF. Solving the zone somewhat and clamping down on ALN&M's leading scorers
allowed ATF to cut the lead to 9 by the end of the 3rd quarter, but they couldn't cut into the lead any further.
9 turned out to be the final margin. ATF will need to find easier ways to score against the zone, since there
is very little man-to-man defense being played by their opponents this year.
Game 4
Creative Solutions was forced to forfiet when only 3 of their players showed up for the game.
ATF donated 2 players and the two teams played a pick-up game.
Game 5
ATF played a much better game against Parke-Davis III in their second meeting. ATF found ways to
score against the zone and kept turnovers down. This was a very even game with the exception of
ATFs poor offensive first quarter.
Game 6
Black & Veatch hung tight with ATF during the first half, trailing by only one at halftime, but
ATF pulled away in the second half. This game marked the first time this season that ATF applied
a press/trap defense to put pressure on the ball handler. Expect an improved press and tighter man-to-man
defense in upcoming games. Once again ATF was able to balance the scoring load against
B&V, with Dann and Stu scoring well above their averages.
Game 7
The first quarter was solidly played by both teams, but ALN&M blitzed ATF from then on.
Plagued by turnovers, ATFs suffered on both offense and defense. ATF found themselves having
trouble bringing the ball up the court against a dogged one-man full court press, and had trouble getting
getting back on defense after steals and defensive rebound-triggered fast breaks. ATF narrowly avoided
being mercied for the second time this year.
Game 8
Staying true to their win-lose-win-lose habit, ATF bounced back from a harsh defeat with a solid victory.
Creative Solutions fielded only 4 players. CS II's foursome played well, but grew tired in the second half.
ATF took advantage, pressing and bringing the ball up quickly. Soon ATF had a 20 point lead, which they coasted
on to the end of the game.
