Previous seasons

Game 1

Tim Kennedy had a big effect in his first game with ATF, scoring over 20 and making big plays on both offense and defense. ATF's solid man-to-man defense held a disorganized Black & Veatch to just 22, while ATF was able to score regularly. Both teams showed some rust probably because the rec department did not schedule any practices before this game. Expect Black & Veatch to improve later in the season.

Game 2

The lead changed hands many times in the offensive shootout, but it was not a lack of defense that caused ATF to give up 86 points. It was turnovers. Ayers, Lewis employed a nasty full court press (that also confounded ATF in both games last year) lead by #34 to get back into this game and take the lead in the third quarter. ATF trailed by 8 late in the fourth quarter, but surged back with a putback by Mike and clutch 3-balls from Ian and Tim to go into overtime. The overtime period was dominated by free throws and Ayers, Lewis eventually pulled ahead. 79 points is ATF's best offensive output ever.

Game 3

Creative Solutions added several good players in the off season who improved the team noticably. This game was very close in the first half, and was tied at 20 at halftime. In the second half ATF's offense faultered at times as they had trouble with ball handling. Too many trips down the floor resulted in turnovers without a shot. This coupled with a flurry of questionable fouls put the game out of reach for ATF.

Game 4

Parke Davis played the first minute of this game with only 4 players and the rest of the game with just 5. With no subs and a confused defensive scheme Parke Davis soon found themselves in a deep hole. ATF's offense struggled in the forth quarter. This combined with a rash of foul calls against ATF made the final score a lot closer at the end than it should have been.

Game 5

ATF played an excellent all-around game. The offense flourished with several fast breaks as well as good passing and smart shot selection. The 3rd quarter was marked by a halt to the ATF offense, but ATF's defense got extremely stingy. Black and Veach was held to just 4 points in the third, and eventually ATF's offense got back on track.

Game 6

Ayers, Lewis charged out to an early 1st quarter lead, but ATF got its offense on track in the second quarter and never looked back. Ayers, Lewis had to play with just 5 players and were not able to employ their standard disruptive full court defense. ATF played another solid game on both ends of the court to notch their 3rd win in a row.

Game 7

ATF employed the zone defense for the first time this year and it worked well against Creative Solutions. Creative Solutions took an early 10-2 lead but their shooting touch soon wore off and ATF ended the quarter up 6. ATF extended the lead every quarter until the game turned into a free throw contest late, but by then the game was well out of reach. ATF seems to have shaken the turnover problems that plagued them earlier in the season.

Game 8

ATF played a good first quarter, but had a shakey second quarter. With two of their best guards out, ATF had ball handling problems. These problems ballooned into a disasterous 3rd quarter which saw ATF's offense grind to a halt, scoring just 3 points. Parke Davis played with a full squad this time around, and the additional players improved the team greatly.

Game 9

ATF played a good first half, but had minor defensive lapses and short offensive droughts in the second half. Creative Solutions capitalized on this to grab a victory and the league championship. Congrats to Creative Solutions.
